Globalization and agriculture in new realities

Introduction; Globalization means free trade between the countries. After globalization great changes occurred in the agriculture sector. These changes provide opportunities for some but threats for others. Therefore we have ready to face lot of challenges in 21st century. So in 21st century agriculture is likely to be some characteristics.

1)    More global competition; After the globalization farmers income have been increased due to selling their products in international market. But expansion of market is not important dimension of trade, transfer international capital, technology and research and development. But now days research and development activities has focus on only in developed countries.

2)    Expansion of Industrialized agriculture; Industrialization of production means movement to large scale production units it leads to using of high technology and management then it leads to low cost of production and meet the consumer needs for specific products.

In current situation US nearly complete Industrialization production like Livestock, dairy, pork, and poultry

3)    Production of differentiated products; Differentiated product industries will determine by the consumer desires. Consumer need a food safety and cost so we need using a advance technology and minimizing cost of production, processing and distribution of the products. Market may include: branding, advertising, packaging, food safety and product quality.

4)    Increasing risk; Agricultural production is a always risky business not only in traditional way like variation of price, weather, disease, encountering new source and particular product have a some characteristics. The risk is changing of consumer preference and food safety is very critical important risk to manage price and raw materials. So we want terminate this situation.

5)    More diversity; The main characteristic is increasing diversity but here diversity is different from diversification. Diversification refers to expanding the number of activities; diversity refers to more specialization means changing the crops traditional to modern. we need to change the product as a consumer demand.

Conclusion; In future successful farming enterprises will need to be better, faster and cheaper products.
